About Runtime Finder

Runtime Finder answers one question: will this portable power station run this appliance, and for how long?

The answer is arithmetic on published numbers. Power station specs (battery size, rated output, surge rating, solar input) come from each maker's own spec page or manual. Appliance watts come from public sources: the U.S. Department of Energy, ENERGY STAR data, generator makers' wattage charts and appliance spec sheets. Every page lists its sources at the bottom with the date we read them. When a maker does not publish a number, the page says so instead of filling the gap.

We do not test hardware and we do not publish reviews or ratings. Your appliance may draw more or less than the figures here, and batteries lose capacity with age and cold. Treat every runtime as an estimate and check the label on your own appliance.

Found a wrong number? The fix is to point us at a better source.
